TBI Waiver Program
The Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Waiver program provides home and community-based waiver services to West Virginia residents who are both medically and financially eligible to participate in the program. The Bureau for Medical (BMS) Services purpose of this waiver is to prevent unnecessary institutionalization by providing services and supports that are person-centered and promotes choice, independence, participant-directed, respect, dignity and community integration.

Provider Training Modules for the TBI Waiver Program:
These trainings have been approved by the Utilization Management Contractor (UMC), KEPRO who is contracted by the Bureau for Medical Services to be responsible for the day-to-day operations and oversight of the TBI Waiver program. These trainings meet criteria outlined in the TBI Waiver Policy Manual (Chapter 512) for Personal Attendants and Case Managers.
