Services

Traumatic Brain Injury Services are available through state and federally funded programs. Resource coordination, technical assistance, training, screening & assessments are available to individuals of all ages with TBI, family members, caregivers and service providers. The statewide program consists of regional TBI Social Workers who use a person-centered approach to help individuals reach their personal goals and achieve independence within their communities.

Who qualifies for resource coordination?

Free resource coordination is available to all who meet the following requirements:

  • Is a citizen of West Virginia
  • Has a medical Diagnosis of a Traumatic Brain Injury
    • According to West Virginia Legislative Code, Chapter 9, Article 10 (3) “Traumatic brain injury” means an acquired injury to the brain, including brain injuries caused by anoxia due to near drowning. “Traumatic brain injury” does not include brain dysfunction caused by congenital or degenerative disorders, nor birth trauma.
